Thermocore Panels
Thermocore Panels are insulated infill panels made from polyester-coated aluminium bonded to a Styrofoam® core. Insulated Ceilings
Transforming your conservatory into a comfortable ‘room’ in less than a day is achievable if it has a polycarbonate roof. We retain the existing polycarbonate and install multi-foil internal insulation underneath, which reflects 90% of radiant heat. This insulation is securely fixed using timber battens, followed by either UPVC cladding or a 12mm plasterboard layer to create the ceiling.
Our skilled plasterers will then apply a smooth finish to the plasterboard, ensuring a professionally crafted ceiling. Additionally, you have the flexibility to upgrade to roof panels or a tiled roof, offering even more insulation, whenever you choose in the future.
Specialist ‘SlideFit’ Clips
To avoid compromising the structural integrity of the roof bars with numerous screw holes, which could lead to potential leaks, we utilize specialized ‘SlideFit Clips’ for attaching our initial battens. This method eliminates the need to drill and screw into the existing roof bars, thereby significantly reducing the risk of creating leak hazards.
Double Insulation
Additionally, we provide the choice to integrate UPVC panels with an insulated ceiling simultaneously, offering you a dual layer of insulation. This approach results in reduced heat loss during winter, and minimises overbearing sun glare and excessive heat during summer, enhancing your comfort year-round.
Replacement Process
Similar to the previously described methods, we’ll substitute your existing external glass or polycarbonate roof with insulated UPVC panels in a professional manner. Following this prochedure, we’ll install multi-foil internal insulation and then expertly complete the process with either a cladded or a plastered plasterboard ceiling.
Like For Like Replacements
We are also capable of providing direct replacements for glass and polycarbonate roofs. However, our approach typically includes detailing the advantages and features of a solid roof system.
